Frequently Asked Questions

Social hurling is open to anyone, not playing league hurling games, willing to give it a go. It is play at your own risk just like any group of mates organising weekly 5 aside football matches.

We play a weeknight at Lisburn Leisureplex 4G pitch & Sunday mornings in Wallace Park @ 11.30am.

We have spare hurls & helmets and operate on a "try before you buy" status to encourage participation.

It is run broadly on a "pay as you play" basis to cover any pitch fees; with a small contribution to administration.

Theres no obligations beyond playing when you want; no skills or experience required.

Contact any of our social media platforms or myself Michael Stewart.

The scheme is designed for players over 35; in order to promote men's mental & physical fitness.

Social Hurling is not a GAA league based entity & does not fall under GAA player injury coverage & obligations. However, there are locally, regionally & nationally organised blitze where participants can play self refereed games at their own risk.

All fitness levels welcome; better mental health flows from taking part & fitness levels usually follow accordingly.
